HELPing YOU  HEAL YOUR chronic pain

True healing begins when we reconnect with our bodies. As an advanced clinical massage therapist, based in Buckinghamshire, I guide people, helping them tune back into their physical selves and navigate the healing journey with confidence. At some point, we all face health challenges that can result in chronic pain and when standard treatments aren't enough, finding your way back to mobility requires a fresh perspective. Through consistency, perseverance, and 'out of the box' thinking, I help you reclaim your health - because the greatest journey you can take is the investment you make in yourself.

The MELT Method is a scientifically backed self-care approach to help assist our bodies back to natural health. We use a soft, supportive roller, with specific gentle techniques helping you to keep active and pain-free as you get older, while improving mobility, stability, and performance. It has been shown to ease chronic pain and restore overall well-being.

WHAT IS FASCIA

Fascia is a continuous, three-dimensional web of connective tissue, rich in collagen and elastin, that encases and supports every muscle, bone, nerve, organ, and blood vessel in the body. Once thought of merely as a structural “wrap,” we now know fascia is seen as a sensory organ. When it is healthy, hydrated, and supple, it allows your body to move freely. However, when fascia becomes dehydrated, tight, and restricted - often forming adhesions - it can create areas of stagnation that produces tension, inflammation, and pain signals.

Fascia can play a critical role in chronic pain and in some cases can be the primary cause of it. The MELT Method is a wonderful ‘self help’ approach to healing. The specific techniques which I teach in my classes can help you to explore what is happening with your body and help you discover how you can hydrate your fascia and reduce pain.

WORKING WITH SARAH-JANE

A woman practicing yoga or meditation indoors, sitting on a yoga ball in front of a plain wall.

This is a whole body approach using corrective exercises to realign posture, rebuild stability and improve movement patterns. A one-to-one assessment either in person or online is designed to identify the cause of pain and restricted movement. We use structured postural photos and gait analysis to assess how your body is loading, compensating and adapting. You are then guided through corrective postural exercises and leave with a personalised plan to restore alignment and function.
